Every file reviewed before anything prints — scale, size, orientation

Blueprint printing that won't get
rejected at the permit counter.

If your plans print at the wrong scale or with mixed sheet sizes, you won't know until it's too late. Standard print shops don't open your file — they print exactly what you upload, even if it's wrong. At Azul Prints, a technician checks your file before anything runs. So you don't find out at the counter.

Not sure if your file is ARCH or ANSI? Wrong size = rejected permit set. Avoid the most common size mistake →
Why most blueprint orders fail

Most print shops are optimized for speed, not accuracy. They print what you send them — wrong scale, wrong orientation, mixed sheet sizes, no warning. You find out at the counter, or on the job site.

Files printed without being opened
Mixed sheet sizes printed at one size
Scale issues pass undetected
Azul catches all of these before shipping

And you don't find out until you're standing there.  Not sure if your plans are ARCH or ANSI? That's where most mistakes start →

What happens before we print anything

We catch what other printers don't.
Every order. Before it runs.

FedEx and Staples print what you upload — wrong scale, wrong orientation, mixed sizes, no warning. At Azul Prints, a technician opens your file before anything prints. If something doesn't match what you ordered, we contact you first. Not after it ships.

📐
Scale verified before printing
We confirm your drawings print at the correct ARCH or ANSI scale — 1:50, 1:100, whatever your set requires. Not approximate. Exact.
🔍
Orientation & layout checked
Portrait vs. landscape, sheet rotation, title block placement — all checked before a single sheet runs. No surprises on delivery.
📦
Job-site ready packaging
Rolled in kraft paper, labeled with your order number, shipped in a rigid tube. Arrives flat and readable on-site — not crumpled in a flat mailer.
🔒
Files deleted after 7 days
SSL-encrypted upload, private cloud storage, automatic deletion. Your drawings are never shared, resold, or retained beyond your order.

Before you order anywhere

When you should not risk a standard print shop

If any of these apply to your order, this is not something to hand off to whoever's cheapest or most convenient.

📋
Permit submissions
A rejected permit set costs you your review slot. Reprinting and resubmitting is not a minor inconvenience when you're working against an inspection window.
📄
Mixed sheet sets
ARCH D plan sheets alongside 8.5×11 spec pages in one PDF. A shop printing everything at the same size will either shrink your plans or blow up your specs.
⏱️
Tight deadlines
When a wrong print means a missed deadline, you need confirmation the file was checked — not just shipped fast. Speed without accuracy is worse than useless here.
📐
Anything where a reprint costs you time
Bid sets, job-site packages, multi-set orders — if you need to reprint one because the scale is off, you need to reprint all of them.

If any of these apply, you don't want this printed blindly. Upload your plans — a technician checks your file before anything runs.

Pricing

Blueprint sizes & pricing

Transparent pricing — no setup fees, no minimums, no surprise charges. A reprint because the scale was wrong costs more than the original order. FedEx charges $4.99–$6.99 for the same ARCH D sheet that costs $3.00 here — with a file review and same-day shipping included, not added on top. Color pages are auto-detected page by page, so you only pay color rates on sheets that actually have color.

Who orders
blueprint printing?

Everyone who has been burned by a wrong-scale print, a pickup-only shop, or a FedEx bill that didn't match the quote. Here's who switches — and why.

🏗️
General Contractors Permit sets rejected for wrong-scale sheets cost you inspection slots. Multi-set site packages ship directly to the job — no GC running to FedEx, no mixed-revision disaster.
📐
Architectural Firms A permit submission printed at the wrong scale gets rejected at the counter — resubmission required. Construction documents, SD/DD packages, and permit sets arrive scale-verified and delivered to the building department or job site — no trip to the copy shop.
⚙️
Civil & Structural Engineers Mixed ARCH/ANSI sets submitted to different agencies require consistent sizing. A mixed set gets flagged. We confirm the sheet standard before printing and ship direct to the submitting office.
🔧
MEP & Trade Contractors Color-coded MEP drawings lose all meaning when printed in black and white — every system becomes the same gray. We confirm color settings match the drawing intent before printing.
📏
Surveyors Survey plats, boundary maps, topographic drawings, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
🏛️
Building Departments Submission-ready permit plan sets printed to scale for review and approval.
Why Azul Prints

The thing that makes contractors never go back to FedEx

We're not a copy shop. Blueprint printing is our primary product — every order reviewed by a technician, every sheet printed to spec.

🛠️
We verify your file before printing — so your plans don't get rejected
A wrong-scale set gets rejected at the building department counter — reprint fee, lost inspection slot, resubmission required. A file with rotated orientation shows up on-site with the title block sideways. These don't happen after — they get caught here. Every order reviewed before it runs. FedEx and Staples skip this step. See the 7 mistakes we catch before printing.
📐
Calibrated to ARCH & ANSI standards
What you drew prints at the correct scale every time. No guessing, no adjusting at the building department. Calibrated to spec on every order.
Same-Day Shipping
Order before 12 PM EST on weekdays. Your prints leave the same day via UPS — to any address in every state in the US.
🔒
Confidential & Secure
SSL-encrypted upload. Private Google Cloud storage. Permanently deleted after 7 days. Never shared with anyone.
