What happens before a sheet prints
Two checks, at two moments. Neither one costs extra, and neither one changes your price after you have seen it.

At the quote, the file is measured
The quote tool counts pages and measures page sizes, so the price reflects what is in the PDF and you can see where a page differs from the size you chose. Files from different consultants can be uploaded separately; every sheet counts toward one volume rate.

Before printing, a technician opens it
Scale, orientation and completeness are checked against your settings. A building department may return a set that doesn't meet its scale or sheet-size requirements, so we check both before printing. Confirm requirements with your building department.

If something looks off, we contact you
You hear from us before anything prints. If we print it wrong, we reprint it at no cost.

Packed for the job site
Prints are rolled, bagged and packed in a shipping tube. The UPS tracking number is emailed to you when the order ships. Files are deleted after 7 days.
Sizes and prices
Black and white on 20 lb bond (why 20 lb is the standard for plan sets) is $0.50 per square foot at 1–24 sheets; color is $1.25 per square foot. The rate drops with the total sheet count across every file and set on the order: 25–99 sheets, 100–249, 250–499 and 500 or more, down to $1.68 per ARCH D sheet. How an order goes

Upload and choose settings
Add your PDFs, pick product, print size, print mode and sets. Export from AutoCAD, Revit or Bluebeam as PDF before uploading. Uploading files does not place an order.

Review price and delivery
See the print subtotal, choose a UPS service and enter the address. UPS Ground is free on orders of $29 or more; faster UPS services are offered at checkout.

Pay and receive tracking
Pay by card. A technician reviews your files before printing. Weekday orders placed by 12 PM Eastern ship the same day, and UPS tracking is emailed to you.
Common order types
Each kind of set has its own requirements. Choose the size and print mode your drawings call for; the quote tool prices whatever you upload.

Permit sets
Usually ARCH D, black and white, in the number of copies the building department asks for. Scale and sheet size matter most here. Permit plan printing.

Bid sets
Several identical copies going to subcontractors. Sheets are counted as pages × sets, so the copies move the whole order down the volume ladder. Multi-set printing.

Construction document sets
Architectural, structural, MEP and civil files from different consultants. Upload them separately, set a size per file, and they still count together. Bulk printing.

Shop drawings
Fabrication detail where line weight and readability matter. Export at the drawn sheet size rather than scaling to fit.

As-built and record drawings
Often color-coded by discipline. On a color order, pages with little or no color are charged at the black & white rate. Color printing.

Blueprint printing FAQs
How much does blueprint printing cost?
Black and white on 20 lb bond is $0.50 per square foot at 1–24 sheets, so an ARCH D 24 × 36 sheet is $3.00. ARCH B 12 × 18 is $0.75, ARCH C 18 × 24 is $1.50 and ARCH E 36 × 48 is $6.00. The rate drops automatically with the total sheet count on the order, down to $1.68 per ARCH D sheet at 500 sheets or more.
Color is $7.50 per ARCH D sheet and mylar is $16.50, each with its own volume rates. There are no setup fees and no minimum order.
Which sizes can I order?
All standard ARCH sizes (ARCH A 9 × 12 through ARCH E 36 × 48) and ANSI sizes (ANSI A 8.5 × 11 through ANSI E 34 × 44), in black and white or color. What file format do you accept?
PDF only. A PDF keeps the scale, line weights and page size your drawing software set, whatever it was exported from. Export from AutoCAD, Revit or Bluebeam as PDF before uploading. File preparation guide.
When does my order ship, and how fast can it arrive?
Weekday orders placed by 12 PM Eastern ship the same day via UPS; later orders ship the next business day, and weekend orders ship Monday. There is no rush processing fee.
Arrival depends on the UPS service you choose at checkout. UPS Ground is free on orders of $29 or more and typically takes 1–5 business days by destination. UPS Next Day Air arrives the next business day to most US addresses. Shipping and delivery.
How do I know my plans will print at the correct scale?
Export the PDF at the sheet size you drew it on, without “fit to page”. When you upload, the quote tool measures each page so you can see where a page differs from the size you chose. Can I order multiple sets at once?
Yes. Choose the number of sets (copies of every page) in the quote tool. Sheets are counted as pages × sets across every file, and the volume tier applies automatically: a 12-page ARCH D set in 4 copies is 48 sheets at the 25–99 rate of $2.52 per sheet.
Are my files kept confidential?
Files are used only to print your order and are deleted after 7 days. They are never shared or sold. Privacy policy.
Do you ship to job sites?
Yes. Enter any US street address at checkout: a job site, an office or a home. Everything ships via UPS, and the tracking number is emailed to you. We are online only, with no counter pickup.
