Contractor volume blueprint printing — consistent, reviewed, ships today

10 sets or 100 sets — every set identical, every set reviewed. Same-day UPS on orders before 12 PM EST.

General contractors and subcontractors don't print one set — they print 10, 15, 20. Bid packages go to every sub. Construction sets go to every trade. As-builts go to the owner, facility manager, and permit authority. Every set in every order is printed from the same file, reviewed by a real technician, and shipped same-day via UPS. Volume doesn't mean less careful.

🎨 You only pay for color where it exists. Mixed sets handled automatically — color pages detected per sheet, B&W pages at the lower rate. No manual selection, no overpaying.

The real issue

When You're Running Jobs, Printing Slows You Down

Coordinating sets, tracking revisions, managing sub deliveries — printing should be the last thing you're thinking about. We remove this entire problem.

📦
Coordinating sets across multiple subs
Which sub has the current revision? Who got the pre-addenda set? Who's missing the mechanical drawings? Managing distribution of large multi-set orders is a job in itself. We ship all sets from a single verified file.
🔄
Tracking revisions across a project lifecycle
Projects issue addenda, ASIs, and RFI responses throughout the job. Keeping every recipient at the current revision requires discipline. We print exactly what you upload — no version substitution.
📋
Managing incorrect sets that slipped through
One sub working from the wrong revision. One job site copy missing sheets. These generate calls, disputes, and delays. They start with unverified prints.
We remove this entire problem from your workflow
Upload once. Specify the count. We print all sets from the same file, review every set before running, and ship same day. Every set is identical. You stop managing printing.

What goes wrong when this is done wrong
High-volume orders amplify every error. One wrong file means 15 wrong sets.
One wrong-scale file produces 15 wrong-scale sets
A PDF exported at the wrong scale doesn't just produce one wrong print — it produces every set in your order at the wrong scale. We review before printing so the entire order is caught before anything runs.
Missing pages across multiple sets cause multiple problems
A 20-set order with a missing page in every set means 20 recipients without that sheet. 20 phone calls. 20 reprints. We review page count and order before running any volume order.
Outdated revision level sent to every recipient
Distributing a pre-addenda revision to 12 subcontractors and discovering the error after they've all started pricing is a coordination disaster. We print from exactly the file you upload — no version substitution.
Sets not identical across recipients
Physical assembly errors in high-volume orders are common at copy shops — one set gets 47 sheets, another gets 45. We print all sets from a single digital file. Every set is identical.
Every one of these is preventable with a file review before printing. Upload plans → get exact price in seconds →
Before we print your set
This is what separates us from every other printer
📐
Scale is verified
We confirm the print actually measures at the stated scale. The #1 rejection trigger — caught every time.
🔄
Orientation is checked
Landscape drawings that exported as portrait — caught before a single sheet runs. Not after it arrives.
📋
Missing sheets flagged
A set missing one sheet gets rejected whole. We review page count and order before printing.
🚫
FedEx doesn't do this
FedEx and Staples print what you upload. We're the last line before rejection or fabrication failure.
Requirements

What contractor volume printing requires

  • 1
Single clean PDF for the entire order
Upload one complete PDF for all sets. We print all copies from the same file — ensuring every set is identical. Don't upload separate files for separate sets unless you're ordering different drawings for different recipients.
  • 2
Correct sheet size for all sets
Confirm the required sheet size before ordering. ARCH D 24×36 is standard for most contractor orders. All sets in a single order print at the same size. If different recipients require different sizes, place separate orders.
  • 3
    Verify page count before uploading
Large multi-sheet PDFs sometimes have pages accidentally duplicated or omitted during export. Use our free page counter or the scale checker to verify your PDF has the correct number of pages before ordering a 20-set run.
  • 4
Revision level — confirm before ordering
High-volume orders should use the current revision level. Ordering a large bid package and then discovering it's the pre-addenda version requires reprinting the entire run. Verify you have the correct revision before uploading.
  • 5
    Set count and recipient list
Know how many sets you need before uploading. Count recipients: GC, each sub by trade, owner representative, project file, permit authority. It's easier to add sets to an order before printing than to reorder.
  • 6
Delivery — single address or multiple
All sets in a single order ship to one address. If you need sets delivered to multiple addresses — job site, office, GC office — place separate orders or contact us for multi-destination orders on large volumes.
Common Problems

What goes wrong — and what we catch

These are the most common failure points we see — and what we check for before your set ships.

Most costly
Wrong revision level across entire run
Ordering 20 sets of a bid package and discovering it was the wrong revision after distribution requires reprinting and redistribution. Verify revision level before ordering any high-volume run.
Common
Wrong sheet size for the recipient
Ordering a 15-set run at 11×17 when the receiving building department requires 24×36. The entire run needs to be reprinted. Verify the required size before ordering.
Frequent
Page count wrong across all sets
A 20-set order where every set is missing the same page because the source PDF was missing it. We catch this in review before printing begins.
Avoidable
Sets needed at multiple addresses ordered as one
Ordering 20 sets to ship to one address when 10 need to go to the job site and 10 to the office. We ship volume orders to a single address — plan delivery distribution before ordering.
Common
Color pages printed B&W on volume orders
MEP coordination drawings that need color printed in B&W because color wasn't selected. Our auto-detection catches this, but verify your color preferences before confirming the order.
Frequent
Ordering the wrong quantity
Ordering 10 sets and needing 12. Reprinting 2 more sets adds lead time. Count recipients carefully before ordering — it's easier to order right the first time.

🎨
Smart color detection — you only pay for color where it exists
Mixed sets? No problem. Color auto-detected per page.

High-volume orders often include mixed color and B&W sheets across a single set. Color pages are detected automatically per sheet — every set gets the same color/B&W distribution, and you only pay color rates on sheets that have color.

Civil sheets in color — detected
Architectural B&W — lower rate
MEP color overlays — color rate
No guessing — automatic per sheet
Typical order size
10–50+ sets per project
Bid packages: one per invited sub plus owner, architect, and project file. Construction sets: one per trade sub (typically 5-8 subs), plus GC set, owner set, job site set, and permit authority. As-builts: owner, facility manager, permit file. Count recipients before ordering.

Contractor Volume Printing FAQ

Common questions about contractor volume printing.

No minimum. You can order 1 set or 100 sets from the same upload. Our quote tool calculates the price based on page count, sheet size, color vs B&W, and number of sets. Volume orders get the same per-sheet price regardless of quantity — ARCH D 24×36 from $3.00/sheet.
All sets in a single order are printed from the same digital file. We don't print some sets from one file and others from another. The file review happens before production begins — if there's an issue, we contact you before printing any sets. Every set that ships is identical to every other set in the order.
Single orders ship to one address. For orders that need to go to multiple locations — job site and office, or multiple subs — place separate orders with different delivery addresses, or contact us for multi-destination volume orders.
Volume orders ship the same day as single-set orders if placed before 12 PM EST. Set count doesn't affect same-day eligibility — we build the entire order before the UPS pickup. Large orders (50+ sets) should be placed earlier in the day to ensure same-day processing.
Yes. Color pages are detected automatically per sheet in the uploaded PDF. Every set gets the same color/B&W distribution — sheets that have color print in color, B&W sheets print in B&W. You only pay color rates on sheets that have color, regardless of the total set count.
Our per-sheet price is $3.00 for ARCH D 24×36 B&W regardless of quantity. For contractors with consistent high-volume ordering, our Azul Pro trade account program offers additional benefits — contact us for details.
